Young America Realty is seeking a Maintenance Technician who will be an integral part of our field operations team. The Maintenance Technician will be one of several technicians working for one of our Maintenance Supervisors, responsible for the general maintenance, upkeep, turns and capital improvements of our properties.
The primary customers this position serves are:
1) the owner of the property - served primarily through astute management of expenses
2) the residents of the property - served primarily through exceptional customer service
The candidate should be able to demonstrate their experience to affect process improvement, measure performance, hold themself accountable, demonstrate integrity, and deliver products/services at or above expectations.
Candidate must have a firm understanding of modern technology, MS Office and internet tools. The metrics, tracking, note taking, order creation, and reporting for the position are entirely electronic with our company software, and position will perform much of required work using tablet and/or computer.
Experience within the trades (mechanical, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing…) or within a physical operations environment is considered valuable. Candidate should have no physical restrictions.
A standard set of “tool-belt” tools (hammer, cordless drill, tape measure, etc.) is required. These items are not provided by the Company.
Company vehicles are not provided so personal transportation is necessary. While not required, a pick-up truck or van is beneficial. The company will reimburse for miles driven while working.
Young America Realty provides its tenants with 24 emergency maintenance service. Participation in the on-call rotation is required. Candidate should have no restrictions that would prohibit this.
