The “Best of Bloomington-Normal”
The “Best of Bloomington-Normal” guide is created every year by The Daily Vidette, a local magazine written by Illinois State University students. This guide presents the best of BloNo from food, and hangouts, to the best place to live. Young America Realty has swept the competition six years in a row in the category of “Best in Apartment Customer Service” from 2008-2014. The “Best Place to Live” was also won by Willow Trails from 2009-2012 and the Lodge took over from 2012-2014.
“Best in Apartment Customer Service” would not be achieved without our hard-working professional staff, student Leasing Agents, and also our 24/7 maintenance workers. From payment issues to a water leak, Young America Realty can assist you to make your living situation the best experience possible. We believe in making our residents feel at home and safe while living in our properties. If there is ever an emergency issue, residents can call our emergency maintenance line at any time of the day or night to get immediate help. Non-emergency issues should be addressed within 24 hours of the request unless otherwise notified. We pride ourselves in having the most efficient and diligent maintenance staff around. Our accounting department is constantly hard at work to make the finances of renting an apartment as easy to understand and work with as possible. We recognize that tuition now-a-days is unbearable and we are willing to work with you and your payment options. This is just another way that Young America Realty serves you. Connecting with our tenants though social media via Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook are among the resources we use to interact. Gift cards, the high demand YA T-shirts, and a spring break cooler filled with goodies are examples of some giveaways that we allow our tenants to get involved in. Without our customers we would not have the wonderful, successful business that we continue to improve every day to make resident’s lives a little easier.
Not only do we pride ourselves in customer service, but we are also known for our impeccable living facilities. Willow Trails, sitting along the Constitution Trail and Willow Street, was voted “Best Place to Live” for three years in a row during the years of 2010-2012. This building was our first modernized, rustic-looking complex and by the looks of it, our tenants and others agree that it is the “best”. Shortly after Willow Trails swept the competition three years in row, The Lodge came along and has won “Best Place to Live” for the past two years from 2012-2013 and 2013-2014. The Lodge has a “wilderness lodge” appeal and is widely considered the pinnacle of student housing at ISU. This townhouse style, 4 and 3 bedroom complex comes with a pool and hot-tub, gas grills with a fire pit, and also a clubhouse that consists of a main floor gathering area, and a mezzanine social studying area that overlooks the floor below. The main area has three flat-screen televisions, a fireplace, a pool table, a shuffle board table, and WiFi. The mezzanine area has computers and a printer. We developed The Lodge in hopes that the residents would have access to as much as they need (or even want!) within the grounds of the property. Being voted the “Best Place to Live” and “Best in Apartment Customer Service” is a true honor. Like I said before, we would not be able to achieve such amazing awards without the help of our previous, current, and future residents.
